My first ultra marathon!

A foggy, humid but cold morning. The ski hill lights are on for the 100 mile and 50 mile runners. (Photo taken from inside the car.)

The start line, about 20 minutes before the start.

Leaving the 2nd last aid station at Iron Hill after lots of much-needed encouragement from my family!

My kids and in-laws encouraging me as I arrive at the last aid station! Thank-you, cheering squad!

At the last aid station, waiting for my bottle to be filled for the last 10-12 kms to the finish line. Smiling through the fatigue!

Maddie running up the beginning of the ski hill with me. What a boost!!

Finishing the race with Maddie!

Crossing the finish line with my eldest daughter beside me. Priceless!

The 55k course.

The Bromont Ultra 55k Elevation Profile.

The bib and finisher’s medal.

The billboard ad on the side of the highway for the race! Cool!

Post-ultra burger (Vegan! Portobello burger with non-dairy cheese!)
